ORBIT 60 Advanced Monitoring and Protection System
The Orbit 60 Series is Bently Nevada’s most advanced condition monitoring and protection system. It was designed to collect and process data at high speed; allowing you to see your machine health data and analytics to optimize your performance as well as maintenance.
The Orbit 60 is a cybersecure solution for both machinery protection and condition monitoring. A solution that satisfied the needs of not just machinery engineers, but the OT and IT worlds in which data must move. On average the Orbit 60 System has lower installation costs by allowing more flexibility in where the system was located and how many wires had to be pulled. The Orbit 60 System is an easier and more cost-effective way to deliver machinery data to the process control and monitoring ecosystem.

ORBIT DCM

Orbit Distributed Condition Monitoring (DCM) is Bently Nevada’s premier edge monitoring and asset management solution for all balance of plant machinery assets. Orbit DCM is compact, cybersecure, with an easy-to-install design enabling an optimized condition monitoring solution with both greater channel counts and supported sensor types. Its advanced features will support current and future asset health programs. Its seamless connectivity to System 1 software enables an innovative, single ecosystem for plantwide or fleetwide machinery management.
– Direct, bias, speed, gap, RMS.
– Waveforms, spectrums, overall, peak extractions.
– 1 second alarm and state processing.
– On board storage.
– Full System 1 Integration.
Flexible Deployment
Orbit DCM puts data processing right at the machine. This enables flexible deployment across diverse industrial environments and allows for scalable and efficient monitoring of assets even in remote or challenging locations, while maintaining high data integrity and operational efficiency.
Reliable Data
Orbit DCM’s rapid state determination allows it to obtain quality data on variable speed machines, even those with highly intermittent operation, like cranes. Supports all standard vibration sensor types—proximity, velocity, acceleration.
Hazard Area Safe
Designed for conformity to IEC 62443-4-2. Approved for global Class I Div 2/Zone 2 hazardous areas. These certifications make the solution secure, reliable, and versatile for monitoring assets in challenging and high-risk industrial settings.
2300 Series Vibration Monitor
The 2300 Vibration Monitors provide cost-effective continuous vibration monitoring and protection capabilities for less critical and spared machinery.
The 2300 Vibration Monitors deliver vibration monitoring and high vibration level alarming. They include two channels of seismic or proximity measurement inputs from various accelerometer, Velomitor and Proximitor types, a speed input channel for time-synchronous measurements, and outputs for relay contacts. The 2300/20 monitor features a configurable 4-20 mA output which interfaces more points to a DCS. The 2300/25 monitor features System 1connectivity for Trendmaster SPA interface which enables users to leverage existing DSM SPA infrastructure.

Application
Many cooling towers are equipped with “earthquake” or “vibration switches” that will drive relay contacts if the structure shakes above a predetermined setpoint and shutdown the unit. These switches react to catastrophic events to prevent further damage, but lack the ability to inform operators of impending failures that could drive predictive maintenance strategy. Cooling tower fans can be challenging to monitor with a portable data collection program as access to the gearbox and/or motor can be restricted under operation, impacting the ability to capture repeatable trend data on emerging issues.
Why the 2300 Series?
– Reliable System with improved capability over transmitters for equipment protection.
– Uses reliable circuit designs found in the 3300 and 3500 monitoring systems.
– The 8-channel monitor offers more variety via inputs than other 1900 monitors.
– Easy installation, configuration, and flexible mounting options with its small size.
– Flexible dynamic channels that can be configured for vibration, position or speed.
